Maureen MacCarthy, MBA, is a cofounder and Managing Partner for MGS Consulting, Inc. Maureen specializes in analyzing customer, business operation and market data and leveraging that analysis into improved, sustainable processes and business strategies for clients.  Her work spans across many sectors, including local and international nonprofits, private corporations, and public institutions.

She has worked extensively with clients in the technology sector, helping to design and deploy outcome based evaluations across a wide range of organizational and geographic partnerships. Her leadership consulting expertise is applied to work that includes strategic planning with executive leadership and boards, as well as individual coaching and collective training for members at all organizational levels.

Maureen is an expert trainer and has developed training programs for both businesses and academic settings that promote targeted skill development and application in areas such as data collection and analysis, constructive engagement through conflict, effective change leadership, and organizational influence.  Maureen also specializes in Training of Trainers in which she trains key staff and organization leaders to improve the quality and consistency of their core training workshops.

Maureen has a Masters in Business Administration and an undergraduate degree in Social Work.  She has served on the faculty for the University of Washington and City University and has presented at several local and regional conferences.  Maureen’s MBA program focused on Managerial Leadership, and she is well versed in business tax and accounting policies and the influence of economic and funding environments on organizations.  Prior to MGS, her experience as a manager included overseeing hiring processes, managing a diverse work force, and designing and implementing human resource, financial, staffing and clinical systems in the social and health services industries.  As a result of this experience, Maureen understands first-hand the challenges and constraints that government-regulated organizations face, and is skilled at working through them to promote effective outcomes for organizations and their constituents.

Maureen’s approach to consulting incorporates her business research skills, as well as her insight into human behavior within systems.  Her diversity of experience combined with her background in employee education and training provides the basis for her consulting practice.  Maureen’s clients appreciate her candor, her sense of humor, and her crisp business analysis.  Her keen insight is often useful in areas concerning clarity of communication or work processes and development of leadership and business strategies.  This insight, combined with her experience in thorough research and evaluation and clear, engaging facilitation skills, has enabled Maureen to assist many local, national and international organizations to clarify their strategy, refine their processes, and act towards the effective delivery of their missions.

When you work with MGS we commit to delivering more than you expected, and to be good stewards of your time and resources.
