Liz Morris

Liz Morris is the Business Manager for MGS Consulting, Inc.  In this role, she provides oversight for all client engagements, from initial contracting to project completion and follow up. She supervises MGS internal operations, including financial and administrative functions, as well as external client communication.  Her work with clients includes research, analysis and reporting for projects such as community assessments and program evaluations, as well as technical grant-writing assistance.

Liz has assisted clients in securing funding for multiple grants, from local and corporate foundations as well as federal institutions.  She understands the complexity involved in effective program or project implementation, and is skilled in key areas such as budget development and management, clear and consistent communication, and managing expectations as well as deliverables.

Liz has had a deep interest in the nonprofit and social service sector for many years.  Prior to joining MGS, she worked as a registered nurse’s assistant at an assisted living community, as well as a program coordinator for a local youth shelter.  Her interest and skill in social research were furthered during her time at the Innovative Programs Research Group at the University of Washington, where she used her analytical and organizational skills to assist several ongoing research projects in the fields of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and domestic violence.

Liz graduated from the University of Washington in 2006, with a BA in History with an emphasis in Medical History and Ethics.  She enjoys both the interpersonal and technical aspects of working with diverse community populations and the organizations that seek to serve them.  Her colleagues and clients value her excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to change.
