The Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA) is an organization that represents over 1,000 community business members. MGS has partnered with the GSBA board in many capacities, including strategic meeting and committee facilitation focused on building, refining, and implementing GSBA strategic efforts to promote their mission to combine business development, leadership, and social action to expand economic opportunities for the LGBT community and those who support equality for all.

MGS has worked with many units within Microsoft to customize and deliver staff training in support of ongoing professional collaboration and education. Training areas have included Constructive Engagement, Cross-group Collaboration, Situational Leadership, and Strategic Change Management. Our work at Microsoft is adjusted to the pace and tone of a multi-national business, and includes an understanding of the technology sector and of a matrixed organization.

InsideNGO is a membership organization representing hundreds of operational staff members from NGOs all over the world. MGS provides train-the-trainer support several times a year to members working in international NGOs, on communicating and implementing technical materials in a participatory and engaging way throughout global field offices.

MGS partnered with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to design and conduct a multi-year evaluation of the Foundation’s Community Access to Technology program, a funding program designed to assist Washington nonprofit organizations across the state provide local communities greater access to digital technology. Findings from this large scale evaluation indicated significant positive impact on funded organizations and communities, primarily on at-risk and high-need youth populations and the development of their assets for success. MGS also partnered with the Foundation to share the results of this evaluation on a national scale through multiple conference presentations and online and print publications.

Seattle Public Schools serves an incredibly diverse student and community population. MGS partnered with SPS to develop and deliver a comprehensive, multi-year leadership development program for central office and school leader staff, focused on strengthening leadership within the system in support of improved student outcomes. The work related to the SPS Initiative for Leadership Development included content and curriculum research and design, collective meeting facilitation for central office and school leadership representatives, and ongoing engagement with stakeholders to evaluate and refine program delivery in support of SPS leadership and students.

Malaria Vaccine Initiative works to accelerate the development of malaria vaccines and ensure their availability and accessibility in the developing world. MGS has partnered annually with PATH MVI to facilitate multiple meetings, including their annual Global Team Meeting, and to support the ongoing implementation of articulated next steps.

The Peace Community Center provides in-school, after-school, and summer academic tutoring and mentoring for youth, with a strong adult mentorship component to promote meaningful relationships and holistic development in support of young people becoming college ready and engaged in their communities. MGS partnered with PCC board, staff, local school and community-based organization representatives, and local youth and families to guide a strategic planning process focused on establishing an after-school program for middle school students. The final result was a program design grounded in collaboration and based on best practices and unique constituent needs and priorities.

Clever Kids provides out-of-school time programming to youth focused on developing their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics skills. MGS has partnered with Clever Kids to develop a fundraising strategy and related grant proposals, resulting in multiple awards from local and national family and corporate foundations.
